- Residential Treatment Programs
- Northwood Children's Services has two 24-hour residential treatment facilities
that provide children with a safe, well-maintained living environment.
- Day Treatment Services
- Intensive Day Treatment serves children who need more intense services than public
schools provide, yet do not need out-of-home, 24-hour care.
- Diagnostic & Assessment Center
- The Diagnostic and Assessment Center provides comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and
family assessment for children referred to the program.
- Therapeutic Foster Care Program
- Therapeutic Foster Care is a unique, caring, and individualized program for young people
whose special needs cannot be met in their own families, but who do not require the care
of a residential treatment center.
- CADI Homes

Northwood has six CADI Homes located in
Duluth, Minnesota. These homes are established under the provisions of Community
Alternatives for Disabled Individuals (CADI) legislation. It is a federally
funded program for persons with emotional and mental disabilities. Both homes
are licensed under Family Foster Care by the Minnesota Department of Human
Services and are under the auspices of Northwood Children’s Services.
